My Car Sounds Like A Motorcycle When I Accelerate
Today as I was driving to work upon acceleratation after a stop light the engine started to be REALLY loud almost like a motorcycle engine.
My car sounds like a motorcycle when i accelerate. I have a 1992 Toyota Camry with approximately 142000 miles on it. We use cookies to give you the best possible experience on our website. This happens when the CV axle shaft boot is.
There are a handful of components in your vehicle that are generally referred to. If they are describing the sound of a sputtering World War I biplane I would be inclined to think it is an exhaust leak issue. I didnt think much of it.
To my eye that looks like a hassle to fix on your own. I just find it odd that it didnt start until a few minutes after driving. My car has 121000 miles.
There are also some more technical causes to point out without getting into too much jargon. Went to the gym left and halfway home 5-10 minute drive I got a rumbling sound. The sound is more noticeable when you try to accelerate your car.
Its hard to describe but its a low rumbling when the accelerator pedal is pushed. When you turn one way you hear a clicking noise. What it could mean.
At about 1500 RPMs is ok but apply gasspeed the sound increases to motorcycle type roar. As youve noted this leads to an increase in noise or music depending on your taste. A few minutes later the check engine light came on.
