Motorcycle Stalling
The basics on why your motorcycle is stalling.
Motorcycle stalling. Pull the hose off of the carburettor and run some of the gasoline into a mason jar. If you stall a motorcycle hundreds of times then that can start to have adverse effects on the engine. Starting the engine without riding or continually blipping the throttle seems to foul the plugs quickly.
1 PolarisIndian have had issues with stalling if I recall a recall on Thunderstrokes. Stalling will not damage the motorcycles engine but it will cause some wear and tear if it happens repeatedly. Also why does my motorcycle stall in first gear.
Stalling occurs whenever the engine ceases to turn and operate thus killing the bike temporarily of course. Looked for it couldnt. Why does my motorcycle die when it idles.
It seems leaving it alone for 5 mins. Next with the bike on the side stand so it leans a little to the side where the petrol cock is located. When learning to ride a motorcycle stalling is something every motorcyclist will need to control and master.
2 I remember a guy having similar issues with his new Challenger in the comments section of a road test I was reading. Three thoughts on this. If the carbs are in a elevation that it is not setup for it will also cause problems.
Remove the bike from its stand and straddle the motorcycle. The dreaded stalling issue when the engine is warm is the most common idle problem and it is mostly related to the very lean airfuel ratio on the modern fuel injected motorcycle engine. The motorcycle engine often stalls at idle after warm up.
