Motorcycle Oil Overfill Leak
The oil will be whipped into a thick foam as it gets aerated by the high rotations made by the crankshaft.
Motorcycle oil overfill leak. Run the engine for 15 minutes to warm up the oil. Yes oil was changed at the same time the starter was but no its not over filled it was filled to the same place its been filled to the last 3 oil changes without issue. Also oil will come from any weak points in the engine bay such as spark plug holes around rocker cover and sump plug.
If you go over a little thats ok it will burn out. Look up the quantity of oil that you motorcycle takes. An oil overfill may lead to an oil overspill on the crankshaft.
Overfilling oil can cause a misfire as it can cause incomplete combustion you will also see a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. A Harley uses a dry sump so theres no danger of that happening. And just more as a side note from my understanding the 106 will leak from the breather hose if overfilled.
With oil at the proper level clean the bike all off and see if. Check oil level BEFORE you even start it along with the rest of your pre-ride checklist that you should do before you ride anyway. Basically as the owners manual describes.
Then you overfilled the bike with oil and you have a leak. It would have to be a LOT overfull to blow out a seal. The more pressure you have the more the oil pump has to work.
Every motorcycle comes with. Drain it or tip the bike and find out how much it really is over full. You rode the bike without checking oil levelmental note.
