Motorcycle Leaf Spring Front End
I sold a set to Cyril Huze who built this bike with the solid tapered leg version.
Motorcycle leaf spring front end. For a restoration or a one-off new project with a very nostalgic touch these forks with unique styling are compatible with 16to 21 wheels and accommodate single or dual disc brakes. The VELOCITY leaf-spring front end features a rigid design element in that the main leg is monolithic and unlike most designs continues from the lower rocker connection all the way through the lower clamp support and up through the toptree connection. Available in chrome polished copper or black powder coat these striking Leaf Spring Forks retail starting at just 209995.
I know the leaf spring plans are out there somewhere. 177 Chrome fork assembly. There is a reason they started using a hydraulic fork front end in 51 because it rode better than the girder and shock.
Well its about time I did something else to the scout and I have a hankering for a leaf spring front end. The top-tree mounts are the same dimension as the early Harley-Davidson Springer front end permitting. Kiwi Indian has been manufacturing old school parts for Indian mcs for over 17 years so this is a welcomed edition for Harleys and can accept either left right or dual disc brakes.
If I dont want it I may know someone who does. The leaf would go down on bumps rather than up. Kiwi MotorCycle Company has developed a new leaf spring fork for stock Harley aftermarket Harley and Indian frames.
This reduces the opportunity for fatigue fracture at the lower clamp junction. The bike is hyperdetailed to the point of being overdone for me but as he rightly pointed out its like a firetruck. Forks are made from 1020 DOM material and fit.
SO I have some DIY girder plans but was wondering if anyone has DIY springer or leaf sprung front end plans. Now I know it might not handle as well I just want the look I also want to use as many parts from the scout as I can wheel brake fender clock but I think that.
