Motorcycle Has No Power At All
Also check all wiring plugs behind headlight.
Motorcycle has no power at all. A great place to start is at the source of power. The black lead will go into the port that says COM common ground and the red lead will get plugged into the port that has a capital V. When a motorcycle has a bad terminal connection that means the battery cable either has a poor connection or isnt connected at all.
I removed the seat and checked all the fuses all good battery fully charged. The disadvantage is that there is almost no power at low rpms. So you have to rev the engine constantly to have power.
Assuming the battery is ok somewhere on the main circuit there is a short or broken wire - therefore absolutely no electrical power at all. You can start by checking out your plug wires and caps. In the narrow area where there is power.
I noticed sometimes the turn signals worked if I revved the engine a all the way up to the rev limiter. They designed this motorcycle to extract the heat energy from the exhaust and convert it into output power. The terminals on a battery are the two small metal rods that stick out on either side on the top.
If the switch iisnot making its correct contacts it will cause voltage spikes that make the guage jump and if the power doesnt connect for a second it will set the coils to fire and cause backfire. The red wire from the solenoid goes to the positive terminal on the battery. It turned out to be a quick and easy fix.
I attempted to start it a couple days ago turned on the switch and got no power to anything at all starter lights horn. If you keep the old battery in the bike it will try to suck up the power from the fully charged battery. If all checks out okay start checking individual components.
