If you catch it in time you can grab the clutch and feather the throttle and it will clear back up but if you ever let it cut off it takes a little bit to get it started back up.

I recently did a head gasket repair on my 1986 Kawasaki GPZ1000RX and now that everything is back together it starts up fine idles fine and revs high without a problem while in neutral but when I put it into gear and started driving it itll drive fine when giving it slight throttle but when I get to the higher revs or when I open the throttle too quickly it bogs down badly and starts stuttering but. Motorcycle dies while ridinglike gas is cut off. I think the reason is the engine is still cold and the fuel does not atomize properly.
These springs are located where the throttle cable comes down and connects to the carburetor. 2002 Honda Shadow 750 ace it starts and idles but dies when given throttle. Failing that then the next port of call is to strip and clean the carburettor.
100 avoidable if you let bike warm up for a minute or are easy with the throttle. Another sign of lean running is the hunting idle where the motorcycle. When i start my bike up for the first time its starts up and dies within less than a second i give it another shot and the samething happens sometimes it will happend for a third time but after that it starts and stays. It idles mostly okay but misfires every so often barely identifiable. It seems to be consistent. Lean running engines tend to hang up at high rpms when the throttle is let go and they also rev down slowly after the throttle is closed.
