Can I Run My Motorcycle Without A Thermostat
It can absolutely be started without a radiator.
Can i run my motorcycle without a thermostat. I would think it might be the same thing for motorcycles since they are running at a higher rpm the coolant would flow even faster and not have time to dissipate the heat. This kept the flow down to near the designed rate and allow scavenging from the far ends of the heads. All my cars run 195 thermostats and make sure to test your radiator caps wheather they are old or new.
Yes you can temporarily run your outboard without the thermostat and not harm the engine. It is possible for a motorcycle to start and run without a battery especially smaller motorcycles that are 250 CCs or less and have a kick starter. Also the Engine Computer goes into closed loop when the engine is above a certain temperature.

Thermostat selection boils down to application. The thermostat is a vital component in the engine cooling system. Some proper rewiring is required in order for this to work.
The temperature would make the spring length change slightly which would change. If you dont run it long enough for the engine to get too hot its not an issue. If you live in a warm climate this should not be a problem.
Although enthusiasts tend to choose a 160-degree F thermostat to treat overheating issues the 160-degree thermostat was originally intended for alcohol antifreeze back in the day. But you should definitely not run without a thermostat no matter what season it is. The thermostat is a restriction to flow that keeps the coolant in the block and in the rad long enough to transfer heat.
