1930 excelsior motorcycle for sale. On March 31 1931 Ignaz Schwinn made the announcement that the company would immediately cease opereations. 1964 Ducati Scrambler - 250. Ignatz Schwinn manufactured the Junior under license in the USA as Excelsior.

Excelsior motorcycle parts only used 2 or 3 times. This a private auction. The company established 140 dealers throughout the United States.

Thanks to Walter Nielsen of Denmark for these pictures of his bike. Initially they had premises at Lower Ford Street Coventry and 287-295 Stoney Stanton Road Hillfields Coventry Warwickshire before moving to Kings Road Tyseley Birmingham in 1921. In 1917 the firm passed into the control of Chicago-based cycle maker Ignaz Schwinn owner of Excelsior.
